Garbage
Apple should take this app off the market. No one in my class can open the book on the app. With so many reviewers complaining for a long time, its still not fixed. Crazy.
Worst thing ever DO NOT GET THIS APP OR BOOK
TO ALL PROFESSORS OUT THERE:
DO NOT FORCE YOUR STUDENTS TO GET THIS BOOK.
I cannot use it. This is the worst interface because of many reasons:
I cant scroll correctly on my MacBook.
I cant even download it on this app, it does not show up at all.
I cant zoom very well at all on the web version.
Why must it be this dumb format? Why cant it just be a regular ebook or print?
I really cannot use it, and it makes reading so impossible.
Please do not buy this book.
Cant even download the book.
This app is awful. It constantly crashes and the book will not come out of unzipping after 4 hours of trying. The online version of this book is also terrible. Makes me want to drop my class.
Better than the online version, but still very flawed
On the one hand, Im very thankful they came out with the app, because for some reason the highlighting/drawing features and sometimes even the page turning features would not work on my laptop (which is <1 year old, so compatibility should not be an issue). However, the app still has some issues... I wish you didnt have to re-select the "pen color" and size with every. single. page. Its incredibly tedious and I feel like I have spent more time trying to figure out how to use this online book than I have even studying biology. To be honest, I am awful at processing information on a screen. I do much better when the info is printed out in front of me, and the only option I have found with this book is to purchase a print version from the company which seems to only be available after you have already purchased the online version. As far as I can tell, you cant even print chapters that you need. Its all a huge money-making scam in my opinion. Overall, I pretty much cant stand this format, and I plan to talk to my schools biology department to recommend a change after this semester. Truly a terrible, non-functional system.
Finally
Pro tip: download the small files .
Also, takes up around 3 GB of space so .... Yeah ...
